Underappreciated supervisor of the main police impound yard
Steve has a thankless job. He inventories, stores, and catalogs all the vehicles towed in for the entire Night City Metro division. He has a staff of 7, but he is the only one who can sign off on transactions, the paperwork, and operate the larger flatbed truck. 4 of his staff must do the repirs on the police crusers- and guess who has to do those inspections. The other 2 members of his staff cuts down wrecked cars and equipment for “suitably process-able metal reclamation” but only after it is confirmed that it no longer runs and is “unadvisable for repair” to be sold to raise funds for the metro division. He used to be a streetcop, but several injuries and a few “aggression issues” later- he was transferred to the impound yard. He is not above giving people he likes the heads up about auctions, even going as far as to make certain that they know which are the choicest lots. Unfortunately, as he is an active member of the impound department he is unable to “gain from internal knowledge” in short- he has to scrimp and save to buy a car from a dealer. In recent years he has been known to bend a rule here or there if the price is right.
